Spring Break 2009 (Goblin Valley & Capitol Reef)

This year for spring break we went to Goblin Valley & Capitol Reef with Grandma & Grandpa Slater. We had so much fun! We have been to Goblin Valley before, so we were really excited to go back. Goblin Valley is a big valley with all kinds rock formations that look like goblins. You can spend hours there climbing and exploring. The girls love it. ( I'm sure they would have had even more fun if there cousins could have been there.) The weather was perfect the day we went to Goblin Valley. Jon took a ton of cool pictures. It's so beautiful in Southern Utah we are so lucky to live so close. The next day when we went to Capitol Reef it was freeezing. We went on a hike through the Grand Wash. The girls did great--it was so cold but they never complained.
Laynie's new faze is that she want's to be outside at all times. First thing in the morning she finds her shoes and says "shoes, out." So she loved going camping she was able to be outside most of the day. I think we were all a excited to be able to go on a little vacation.

Ellie's favorite rock. She called it Mr Gorilla Head.

This is one of Jon's favorite picture.
